Embarking on a ski vacation with my husband and our adventurous 4-year-old son was a dream come true. Our destination? The Lodge at Spruce Peak in the picturesque Stowe, Vermont. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for an extraordinary experience.
Nestled amidst the breathtaking snow covered mountains, The Lodge at Spruce Peak welcomed us with its cozy charm and warm hospitality. Our spacious room boasted stunning views of the majestic peaks, a cozy fireplace which we used constantly & a lovely kitchenette for a quick breakfast for a picky eater. This place instantly captivated our little one's imagination.
As we geared up for our first day on the slopes, the morning was pretty slow and relaxed with direct access to Stowe Mountain Resort's legendary trails. Our son participated in the ski lessons from the best teachers. He had so much fun, we ended up signing him up for the whole week! From gentle slopes perfect for beginners (like me who took a group adult lesson) to exhilarating runs that challenged even the most seasoned skiers, there was something for each of us to enjoy.
But our adventure didn't end there. Off the slopes, we explored the winter wonderland surrounding the resort. Our son's eyes lit up as he tried rock climbing in the adventure center, and throwing snowballs constantly. They had a beautiful park for him to climb on too just outside the courtyards.
After a day filled with adventure, we indulged in some much-needed relaxation. The lodge has a gorgeous spa, and a pretty amazing swim-in swim-out pool which is nice and warm in the winter.
Evenings were spent gathered around the fire pit, sharing stories of our day's adventures and savoring delicious meals crafted from locally sourced ingredients. The warm, inviting atmosphere of the resort made us feel like we were part of a close-knit community, creating memories that we'll cherish for years to come.
Our family ski adventure at The Lodge at Spruce Peak was nothing short of magical. From the thrill of the slopes to the moments of pure joy spent together, it was a vacation we'll always hold dear in our hearts. I am already planning when we can go back!
